We believe that having a home is only part of living a fulfilling life. People need community. They need connection, friendship, purpose, and the feeling of belonging. Whether it’s learning something new, sharing a meal, helping a neighbor, joining an activity, or simply having someone to talk to, these everyday connections can make a meaningful difference.
Windward Crossing will offer 17 supportive housing units for Seniors over 62, 5 units for adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities, a private residence, and a community center. This is made possible by a generous gift of four acres of land donated by John and Mary Lucey.
The Patricia Ann Lucey Community Center is at the heart of Windward Crossing. This two-story, 5,600-square-foot New England village-style building, surrounded by nature, will provide a welcoming place to gather, connect, and grow.
The Patricia Ann Lucey Community Center will offer a variety of spaces and amenities designed to support health, wellness, learning, creativity, and social connection and include educational activities, wellness programs, social events, meetings, and community gatherings.
We created the Windward Sails Charitable Foundation, Inc. to help make the Patricia Ann Lucey Community Center a reality and create a place where people can come together, build friendships, and feel a true sense of belonging.
